The Greater Sudbury Public Library is partnering with CBC Sudbury to host Human Library Day as part of a Canada-wide event. Human Library Day will take place on Saturday, January 26, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the South End Library. This event will feature 10 individuals from the community who have volunteered to be a “book” and share their stories through one-on-one conversation with members of the public.
This event is free to all Greater Sudbury Public Library card holders. Registration will take place on the day of the event from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis. Human Books will be available for a 20 minute discussion. The first round of appointments will be scheduled for 1:00 p.m. with the last appointment at 4:30 p.m. Learn first hand the challenges and barriers that these everyday people face and breakdown the barriers through discussion.
