Make a financial donation

You can make a donation in:

• Your name

• The name of someone else as an honorarium to acknowledge a special event (birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, etc.)

• Memory of a loved one as a memorial donation

In the case of an honorarium / memorial donation, an acknowledgement will be sent to the family member(s) of your choice.

You can make a donation with:

• Cash

• Money order

• Cheque (made payable to the Greater Sudbury Public Library)

• Credit card (Master Card or Visa)

• Debit

You can make your donation:

• At your local branch

You can make a donation as a:

• One time donation

• Month by month through your financial institution

Planned donations 

Bequests:

By providing a gift to the Greater Sudbury Public Library in your will, you will provide support for library services and programs in the future.

Gifts in kind:

With the offering of services, programs and special events, the library often looks to community businesses to support our programs through the donation of gits-in-kind. Gifts-in-kind can take the form of products or services donated to the library in exchange for a tax receipt issued for the fair market value of your donation. Your gift will be recognized in the promotional materials used to promote the service or program.

Designated donations:

You can allocate your donation to whichever cause is closest to your heart, or you can make a donation and the Library will allocate the funds towards our greatest need.

• Library Collections
• Read to Grow
• Summer Reading Club

You may have other causes and reasons to support the Library. You can allocate your donation to any part of the Library, whether it be to a specific collection, service or branch.

Recognizing your gift

For each donation, the Library will send a card(s) acknowledging your gift to the organization, business, family or person(s) of your choice.

You will receive a tax receipt for any gift over $10.

For a gift of $25 or more towards our collections, a distinctive book placed in the book(s) you helped purchase.

Your gift will be recognized on our website on an annual basis.
