Homebound Services
Homebound Services is a free, convenient service that delivers library materials to residents of Greater Sudbury who are unable to visit the library due to illness, mobility challenges, or other barriers.
The service is available to all ages and can be arranged on a short-term, long-term, or seasonal basis.
How it Works
Once a month, trained Homebound volunteers deliver library materials directly to your home and pick up any items you have finished.
Library staff select materials based on your reading and viewing preferences, which you can share on your Homebound Services Application form. Selections are personalized and can be updated at any time.
Materials Available for Delivery
Homebound patrons can borrow any materials available from the library’s circulating collection.
Available formats include:
- Books
- Audiobooks
- Magazines
- DVDs
- Music CDs
- Large print books
- Children’s materials
- Other circulating library items
Materials are available in English and French.
