Interlibrary Loan

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows Greater Sudbury Public Library (GSPL) cardholders to borrow materials from other participating public libraries in Ontario if the item cannot be found in GSPL's catalogue.

How to Make a Request

Option 1:
Create a self-service account to place and manage your own requests. With a self-service account, you can:
  • Submit and track requests in real time
  • Request renewals
  • Cancel requests (before they are shipped)
  • Receive automated email updates and reminders

Get started with a Self-Service Interlibrary Loan Account.

Option 2:

Submit your request using our Interlibrary Loan Request Form, and our staff will search for the item on your behalf. While we will do our best to locate the material you’ve requested, availability depends on lending libraries and cannot be guaranteed.

Please note:

  • Requests are processed in the order they are received
  • Processing times may vary depending on request volume and lender availability
  • You will be notified when your item is ready for pickup or if it cannot be obtained
Submit an Interlibrary Loan Request.
